our projects

Betty Adera Foundation...

We strive to increase employment and growth opportunities for young and talented youths by identifying and nurturing their talents and linkage to local and international opportunities.

Girls Education

Keeping girls in school is a powerful tool at mitigating risk and effects of gender-based violence and achieving gender equality. We prioritize return to school approaches for teen mothers and advocacy for equal access to education through scholarship support.

Women in sports

There is a worrying trend of femicide and other forms of gender-based violence among talented women in sports. Our interventions prioritize prevention of all forms of gender-based violence including cyberbullying for women in sports, financial management capabilities and linkages to opportunities to further their talent.

Women in Trade

Women Traders experience increased risks of gender-based violence, have limited information on legislation governing trade, especially among cross-border traders, and limited access to credit. We prioritize the prevention of all forms of gender-based violence, capacity building among women traders on financial literacy, formation of women SACCOS, and linkage to affordable credit solutions.

Women and adolescents’ sexual reproductive health

From communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases such as women-related cancers and information to young people around their reproductive health are all critical to ensuring quality of life. We prioritize referals, outreaches and community level awareness creation .

Climate action and Renewable Energy

Prioritizing planting indigenous trees and renewable energy solutions use for women and girls

Peace Building

We prioritize grassroots community dialogue and adoption of non-violence conflict resolution mechanisms.
