Duty Station: Migori Field Office
Reports to: Director of Programs and Partnerships, Betty Adera Foundation
Supervises: Field Office Assistant
Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)
Level of Effort: 100% (Full-time)
Role Overview
The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Young Women Innovation &
Skills for Enterprise (Y-WISE) project in Suna West Sub-County. The role involves
coordinating day-to-day project activities, managing the field team, maintaining stakeholder
relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of results, in alignment with donor and
organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assume overall responsibility of project implementation and reporting
• Oversee the establishment and operations of the Y-WISE Innovation/ICT Hub.
• Coordinate digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial training sessions.
• Supervise the Field Assistant and Community Mentors, ensuring quality
implementation.
• Liaise with local government, TVETs, and community structures.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, budgets, and activity plans as per project templates.
• Coordinate communication between mentors, trainees, and community stakeholders.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities in liaison with the M&E Officer.
• Ensure safeguarding, gender inclusion, and disability access standards are upheld.
• Assume overall responsibility over project assets in the Field Office and ICT HUB.
• Support local procurements of commodities in liaison with then Finance Officer.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, ICT, Education, or
related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in youth or women’s empowerment projects.
• Proven experience coordinating donor-funded programs at community level.
• Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in ICT, digital tools, and data management systems.

Duty Station: Migori County
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer, Betty Adera Foundation International (BAF)
Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)
Level of Effort: 100% (Full-time)
Purpose of the Position
The Finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the YWISE Project, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability in the use of project
resources. The role supports the Finance Manager and Project Manager to maintain
compliance with donor regulations, BAF financial policies, and Kenyan statutory
requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• CPA II or ACCA certification (minimum).
• At least 3 years of experience in financial management of donor-funded projects.
• Knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or Sage).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)

Role Overview
The Field Assistant will provide logistical, administrative, and technical support to ensure
smooth delivery of project activities within the Innovation Hub and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the setup and maintenance of the Field Office and ICT Hub equipment and
training materials.
• Maintain attendance, asset, and financial records for field operations.
• Support capture of visuals, videos and pictures during program activities
• Respond to inquiries from stakeholders in the Field Office.
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Project Coordinator.
Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Community Development, ICT, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in community-based or youth projects.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Migori context and fluency in local languages.

Role Overview
The Mentors will serve as peer trainers and business coaches for young women
participating in Y-WISE. They will facilitate training sessions, offer one-on-one mentorship,
and support participants to start and sustain enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy sessions.
• Provide business coaching and mentorship to assigned mentees.
• Mobilize participants for training and mentorship sessions.
• Assist in data collection, beneficiary tracking, and documentation.
• Support beneficiaries develop viable business plans and conduct site follow up upon
business start-up.
• Support the inclusion of young mothers and women with disabilities
• Support beneficiaries in developing business plans and accessing seed grants.
• Participate in monitoring and documentation of success stories.
Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in ICT, Business, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
• Experience in youth mentorship, training, or small business management.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Must be a resident or alumni from Migori County institutions (Rongo University, Kakrao
TVET, etc.)

Location: Narok South Sub-County Office
Reports to: Director of programs and Partnerships with a dotted line to the M&E Officer
(both Nairobi HQ)
Supervises: Community Outreach Officer, Field Admin Assistant, Auntie Mentors, CHPs,
and Male Champions
Contract Type: Full-time (18 months, renewable based on performance and funding)
Purpose of the Role
The Project Coordinator provides field-level leadership and oversight for the implementation
of BAF’s adolescent SRHR project in Narok South. S/he ensures timely execution of
activities, supervision of community structures (Aunties, CHPs, Male Champions),
coordination with County Health and Gender Departments, and adherence to project
objectives and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead planning, execution, and reporting of project activities across target wards.
• Supervise and mentor field teams, ensuring quality implementation and
compliance with safeguarding standards.
• Liaise with County Government departments, schools, and community structures
for smooth coordination.
• Track project performance indicators, support data collection, and ensure accurate
reporting.
• Support M&E and documentation of best practices, case studies, and success
stories.
• Facilitate quarterly review and learning meetings and represent BAF in sub-county
coordination forums.
• Ensure efficient use of project resources and adherence to BAF’s financial and
operational procedures.
• Assume overall responsibility of field office and assets.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Development, Gender Studies, or
related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing community-based SRHR, GBV, or
adolescent health projects.
• Proven coordination, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, Kiswahili, and Maa is an added advantage.

Purpose of the Role
The Community Outreach Officer supports implementation of community-level SRHR
interventions, working closely with Auntie Mentors, CHPs, and Male Champions. S/he
mobilizes target beneficiaries, conducts outreach activities, supports SRHR campaigns, and
strengthens referral linkages with health facilities and community structures.
Key Responsibilities
• Mobilize and coordinate participants for safe spaces, mentorship sessions, and
male dialogue forums.
• Support CHPs in delivering SRHR education and menstrual health campaigns at
household and community levels.
• Facilitate linkages between girls and adolescent-friendly health facilities.
• Collect and compile field data, attendance sheets, and outcome stories for M&E.
• Support the design and dissemination of IEC materials and SRHR messaging
• Participate in community dialogues, policy brief dissemination, and advocacy
activities.
• Ensure community feedback mechanisms are active and responsive.
• Support project documentation, success story harvesting and visibility
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Social Work, or related
discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience in community mobilization or SRHR/GBV programming.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills with ability to engage local leaders and
youth.
• Competence in basic data collection and reporting tools.
• Must be resident of or familiar with Narok County context.

Purpose of the Role
The Administrative Assistant provides logistical, procurement, and administrative support to
ensure smooth daily operations of the Narok Field Office. S/he supports staff travel
arrangements, documentation, petty cash management, procurement, and communication
with Nairobi HQ.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain field office operations, including filing, record keeping, and procurement
documentation.
• Support organization of meetings, trainings, and community events.
• Handle petty cash, prepare payment requests, and maintain expense records.
• Ensure proper maintenance of office supplies, utilities, and equipment.
• Manage travel logistics for staff and field visitors.
• Support asset inventory and monthly reporting to HQ.
• Maintain strong communication with the Finance and HR teams in Nairobi.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in office administration, preferably within NGO or
donor-funded projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili required.
